Bargain Huntress: Exclusive Discount on Modern Home Decor at InhabitLiving!

Posted by Jane Tuv
The last remnants of winter have melted, the delicate blossoms of Lily-of-the-Valley are peeking their heads from the undergrowth, and the Bargain Huntress is back from hibernation to reveal sales and exclusive discounts on luxe accessories, furniture and décor for your home.

This week, an urge to redecorate my living room sprang from my need to eliminate any trace of last season's unbearable cold and the depression that followed it. That included folding away fleece throws, hiding mohair decorative pillows and throwing out tacky snowflake coasters. After barricading myself in from last week's downpours and 70 m.p.h. winds, I finally crawled outside, delighting in the bright sun and the promise of a luxuriant spring. Birds eagerly chirped as I perused the Union Square Greenmarket for early spring flowers to liven up my apartment--but I left empty-handed and gloomy. Even the earliest buds were still too young to bloom.

Struck by spring fever, I hopped onto the Interwebs in search of blossoms and greenery, and stumbled upon a botanical print sale at InhabitLiving, which features pussy willow, morning glory, green grass and ailanthus prints. Owners Mike and Jennifer Tuttle are offering customers up to 75 percent off on select throw pillows, bedding, table lamps and wall art. (Even our favorite 3-D Wall Flats are going for less than half the original price!)

Chicago Insider: Wrigleyville Grad Student Haverly Damon

Posted by Leah Gillis
Haverly Damon moved to Chicago a couple of years ago and has already figured out where to get a great Champagne brunch; how to have a car at her disposal for cheap; and how to get her landlord to lower her rent. She tells us why she's settling into Chicago nicely after 10 years in New York City.

Name, Age, Occupation:
Haverly Damon, 29, Grad Student in Institutional Real Estate Marketing

Neighborhood: Wrigleyville a.k.a. Lakeview a.k.a. Boystown

Abode: One-bedroom apartment

How long have you lived in Wrigleyville? Two years

What do you love most about your neighborhood? I live right on the lake, like 20 feet from the entrance to the lake path. I can run and see all the boats in the harbor and everyone out being active -- even when it's cold out which is crazy to me!

Sweet San Francisco Rental: Be The King of Knob Hill for $1,800

Posted by Harmon Leon
Knob HIll is where I lived when I first moved to San Francisco. And that's exactly where this sweet rental is located. What I liked about the locale was it enabled me to be within walking distance to both Chinatown and the funky bars and cafes that run up and down Polk Street. This Knob Hill apartment seems like a really good price for a two-bedroom on the hill.

This spacious apartment is on the first floor of a secure, gated three-story building.

Sweet Chicago Rental: Spacious Lakeview 3-Bedroom for $3,300

Posted by Megan Mollmann
Sweet Chicago Rental in Lakeview for $3300As rent and home prices skyrocketed in Lincoln Park during the early 2000s, many Chicagoans who loved the area migrated a few miles north to Lakeview to find a comparable way of life and more square footage for the dollar.

Over the years, those moving to the area discovered the striking similarities between the two communities. The sister neighborhood of Lakeview mirrors the vibe, location next to Lake Michigan (albeit a few miles further north) and traditional townhome architecture of Lincoln Park. Such is the case with this sweet Chicago rental in Lakeview whose red-brick facade is aesthetically analogous to homes further south.

But despite its old-world charm, this Lakeview three-bedroom is new and the upscale finishes might make you feel like you picked them out yourself. Well, almost.

Sweet L.A. Rental: Sleek Marina Del Ray Waterfront Unit for $2,500

Posted by Leah Gillis
Marina Del Ray is close to the great shops and restaurants of Abbot Kinney, Venice Beach and Culver City. You might imagine beach properties on a marina to be weathered, shingled places, but this sleek, glass-filled construction called Capri Apartments features views and loads of amenities -- both in the building and the apartment. They have many two-bedroom, two-bath apartments to chose from with prices starting at $2,500. The building also offers flexible lease terms so if you're looking for something short term this could also be a good option.

Sweet Chicago Rental: 1-Bedroom in Time for Opening Day, $995

Posted by Nathaniel Swift
Move into this Sweet Rental by April, and you can unpack in time to welcome your new neighbors, the Chicago Cubs, when they arrive at Wrigley Field to open the season against the Brewers on April 12th.

This one-bedroom rental is a great deal at $995 a month (including heat), in a beautiful brick building on Cornelia Avenue a short block south of the historic and beautiful ballpark. For four or five months each year, it's a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood near Lake Michigan surrounded by restaurants, bars and boutique shops. But for 81 days a year (and hopefully a few weeks longer in October), this neighborhood belongs to Cubs fans.

Sweet San Francisco Rental: SOMA Lofts for $1,135

Posted by Harmon Leon
I'm pretty sure I've been to a party in the building where this sweet rental is located. As I recall, it was a really amazing SOMA loft. Besides having really, really high ceilings, the loft had access to the roof, which was a great spot for entertaining friends. I think the guy who lived there worked at Google and we all drank beer on the roof and marveled at the 360-degree view of the city from up there.

West Hollywood Insider: Cabaret Artist Ryan O'Connor

Posted by Leah Gillis
Ryan O'Connor is the creator of a funny musical show detailing his obsession with food. But don't think all his favorite things in West Hollywood include food. There are concerts at Largo and Musical Mondays at Eleven and this great sandwich place.

Name, Age, Occupation: Ryan O'Connor, 28, I'd say Cabaret artist but I've been described as a big, fat, singing Kathy Griffin.

Neighborhood: West Hollywood, Los Angeles

Abode: One-bedroom apartment

How long have you lived in West Hollywood?
Over six years.

First things first, do you say West Hollywood or WeHo? I call it WeHo. I do. I have to admit it. But, that's mostly because I'm lazy.
